Geocaching Family

Well….maybe the adventure really isn’t beginning today, but we are planning to start as soon as the weather gets nice enough.

 My husband and I have decided that Geocaching would be a great family activity for us.  We love to get out as much as possible, and to go on these little treasure hunts should be fun for both us and the kids.

If you aren’t sure what geocaching is, check out my geocaching page for links and info.  As I get more information and learn more I will update that page.  The short story is, its basically little treasure hunts using a GPS, searching for caches that others have left.

 The only thing we need to purchase to get started is a GPS - so I guess that will be step one - researching and eventually purchasing a GPS that will fit our needs, but stay within a meager budget.

 Step two:  research and read all the online resources, get information and figure out where the closest easiest caches are, start out light

Step three:  get out of the house and actually do it!!

So that’s it….let the adventure begin!!
